Website Missing from Google: Check Indexing and Canonicals

A website missing from search needs a diagnosis based on technical evidence and Search Console. Absence from an ordinary search, including a site query, is not definitive proof that an individual URL is not indexed.
1. Inspect the exact URL
Use URL Inspection in the correct property. Record indexing status, the last crawl, page fetch, indexing permission, the declared canonical and Google's selected canonical. Distinguish an unknown URL from one discovered but not crawled, and one crawled but not selected for indexing. These statuses describe different stages and do not imply the same repair.
2. Separate live access from stored indexing
A live test checks whether Google can currently access the page. Passing it does not establish that the page has entered the index. Sitemaps and indexing requests can assist discovery, but neither provides a guaranteed acceptance or fixed completion time.
3. Check the intended destination
Confirm the final response status, deliberate redirects, canonical and internal links. Login and staging pages can legitimately use noindex. Do not remove every indexing restriction without understanding the purpose of each page.
A bilingual diagnosis example
Keep separate records for Indonesian and English URLs, including language, canonical, sitemap and inspection result. If one version has not been crawled, do not infer a translation defect solely from that status. Compare its actual content and live configuration first. This is a record-keeping method rather than a universal diagnosis.
4. Improve usefulness
Answer the reader's question with specific content, inspectable examples and useful navigation. A target word count or a large set of location pages does not guarantee indexing. Prioritize meaningful pages and revisit the evidence after relevant changes rather than repeatedly submitting an unchanged URL.
