AWS Schedules DVA-C03 and SAP-C03 Registration for October 27: A Cloud Team Checklist

AWS lists October 27, 2026 as the registration-opening date for updated versions of two cloud certifications. Development and architecture teams should check the exam code before planning their study work.

What should candidates verify?

Registration opening and exam delivery are different dates. Candidates should check the latest version guide, language, testing format and appointment availability through official services. The Developer Associate page also lists November 30, 2026 as the last day to take DVA-C02. For the Professional track, recheck the previous version's deadline on the relevant page before paying because schedules may be updated.

SWY analysis: choose a track around actual work

Do not select a certification simply because its level sounds more advanced. Start with the responsibilities a person actually holds: building and troubleshooting applications, or assessing system designs across components. Document the skills gap and discuss it with the technical lead.

A certification can organize learning, but it does not replace evidence of experience. For a team maintaining customer applications, progress should appear in documentation, tests, access management and the ability to explain technical decisions. Avoid claiming that a person or company holds a credential before that status can be verified.

A checklist for moving between exam versions

• Record the target exam code and check that study material refers to that version.
• Compare the official guide's scope with team responsibilities and mark topics needing further practice.
• Keep training accounts and data separate, and set spending limits before experimenting with cloud services.
• Build a small example application with tests, change notes and a recovery procedure.
• Check cancellation terms, appointment times and identity requirements directly with the examination provider.

Measure learning rather than course counts

Choose a reviewable task, such as explaining a deployment flow and restoring a practice application after a configuration error. Ask a colleague to review the procedure and permission boundaries. Record remaining knowledge gaps before selecting the next exam target.
